Minnesota Farmers Union has a new location and a larger hoop barn at Farmfest this year. MFU will be located on the west side of the Forum tent.

MFU's watermelon feed was a huge hit last year, serving 1,500 pounds of watermelon to show-goers. This year, they will have more than a ton of watermelon to serve attendees. The watermelon feed is 1:15 p.m. Aug. 7 in the Forum tent.

Minnesota Farmers Union president Doug Peterson will be asking questions during the Congressional candidates forum at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7 and he will be on a 2:45 p.m. panel on The Renewable Fuel Standard.

The Farmers Union Agency Pedal Pull will be held each day of Farmfest at 1 p.m.

Farmers Union vice president Gary Wertish will be on the Water Quality Initiatives and Future Impacts for Farmers panel at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 7.
