LANESBORO, Minn. – Being relatively new on the scene for many farmers, the idea of adding cover crops in these northern climes can be an intimidating one. A group of Mower and Fillmorec County farmers decided to gather to share their experiences with each other, get advice from experts and mentor other producers looking at adding cover crops to their operation.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – On a rough sea of commodity prices, pay prices for members of CROPP Cooperative, which markets the Organic Valley and Organic Prairie brands, were steady to increased this year. Sales supported that trend, boosting the co-op past $1 billion in sales for the first time in its 27-year history.
